Verónica Elizabeth González Rosas was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and arrived to the United States in 2003. As a DACA recipient, Vero understands the hardships experienced by the immigrant community. That is why working with the immigrant population of Central Texas was paramount to her.
In 2019, Vero started her career at the Law Office of Jorge Vela when she accepted the position of legal assistant. Helping the firm’s clients has always been at the forefront of Vero’s role at the firm. Currently, she is the firm’s Case and Office Manager. She manages the entire firms docket, assisting clients with navigating the criminal justice system. She guides them through course work they will need to complete to assist in their case, she provides them with case updates, and answers any questions they may have.
When Vero is not working, she is focusing on her education. While employed at the firm, Vero also obtained two associate degrees from Austin Community College. That is, she graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Med and an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology in December of 2020. Vero plans to continue her studies and is striving to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
